Office Chair Repairs in Central London

Your suppliers want to sell you new chairs. We'd rather fix the ones you've got. Most premium chair faults are one worn part, replaced at the desk, in one visit, with our One-Visit Repair System.

The problem

You know the chairs. The Aeron on floor three that sinks mid-meeting. The Leap with the armrest held on by habit. The complaints trickle in, the DSE assessments flag 'chair adjustment not functioning', and the quote for replacements lands somewhere between painful and impossible. So the broken ones migrate to the meeting rooms, and everyone pretends not to notice.

Why it happens

Here's what nobody tells facilities teams: chairs bought in the same fit-out fail together. Gas-lift seals and mechanism bearings wear on a schedule (so five years in, a whole floor starts failing at once. It looks like 'the chairs are done'. It isn't. It's one worn part, repeated across the fleet) like a car park full of cars that all need tyres. You don't scrap the cars. The furniture industry has little interest in explaining this. A supplier makes £1,200 selling you a new chair and nothing telling you a single replaceable part fixes the old one. That's not your failure of knowledge, it's their business model.

How we fix it

The One-Visit Repair System: because same-age fleets fail in predictable ways, we carry the failing parts (gas lifts, mechanisms, castors, arm assemblies) for every major brand, on the van. Diagnose, fit, test, at the desk, and if a chair can't be finished at the desk, we complete it in our workshop and return it. Never a half-done repair.

Repair vs. replace

A new Aeron: c. £1,200. A new mid-range task chair: £400–£700. A repair: priced per chair once we know the model and the fault (a fixed quote before any work starts, with volume pricing from 10 chairs. 10+ chairs? The free 10-Point Chair Audit tells you exactly what's repairable, what's fine and what's genuinely end-of-life) costed per chair, no obligation.

Questions we get asked

Is repairing really cheaper than replacing?

For premium chairs, almost always, a repair is a fraction of replacement cost, quoted fixed per chair before we start, and the fitted part is new and genuine, not patched. Where a chair genuinely isn't worth fixing, we say so in the audit.

Do chairs leave the building?

No, repairs happen at the desk. The rare workshop case is collected and returned, and we tell you before, not after.

Can you work around an occupied office?

Yes, early, evening and weekend visits are standard for Central London clients.
