Gas lift replacement
We pull the worn cylinder and fit one rated for the chair and the person in it. The seat holds its height again, and stays there all day.

We repair task chairs at part level: gas lifts, tilt mechanisms, castors, mesh and armrests. On-site across London, or in our workshop for bigger rebuilds.
Chairs we specialise in
Independent repair specialists — not affiliated with or endorsed by any chair manufacturer.
None of these mean the chair is finished. Nearly every one is a single worn component.
If any of those sound like your chair, it's probably a quick fix.
Get a Free QuoteA new Aeron, or any comparable premium task chair, costs well over £1,000. The replacement quote is the problem here — not the chair sitting under your desk.
These chairs were designed to come apart. Cylinders, tilts, arms and mesh are meant to be swapped, and the designs have barely changed in decades, so parts still fit chairs bought years ago. A parts-level repair puts the chair back to how it felt when it was new — it doesn't paper over the fault.
It also keeps a well-made chair out of landfill. Throwaway culture sends a lot of good aluminium and mesh to a skip over one £40 component.

Repair
One worn part and a visit — quoted per job, no obligation
We carry the common parts, so a sinking gas lift or dragging castors is usually sorted while we're with you.
Aeron, Mirra, Humanscale and other premium task chairs are what we work on daily. Standard office chairs too.
We come to your office. Bigger rebuilds, like a full mesh replacement, come back to the workshop.
A serviced Aeron does the same job as a new one. It just costs a fraction of the replacement quote.
From one sinking Aeron to a floor of chairs that all need attention.
We pull the worn cylinder and fit one rated for the chair and the person in it. The seat holds its height again, and stays there all day.
Old castors get swapped for the right type — soft rolling for hard floors, harder wheels for carpet. The chair moves when you push it and stops when you don't.
Clunking, seized or free-falling tilts stripped down, re-greased or replaced. Recline tension comes back, and the lock actually locks.
Cracked yokes, worn pads and sagging height adjusters put right, so you can lean on the arm without it dropping or twisting.
Sagging or split Pellicle mesh re-tensioned or replaced, torn fabric patched, flattened foam swapped. The seat supports you where it used to.
Strip, clean, re-grease and re-torque every moving part, then set the chair up for whoever sits in it. Good for offices with a floor of tired chairs.
Send the chair make and model if you know it (it's usually on a label under the seat), what the fault feels like, and how many chairs are affected. A photo helps.
We come back with a price covering the parts, the labour and the visit — no obligation. If a chair genuinely isn't worth repairing, we'll say so.
We turn up with the parts, work at your desks or in a spare room, test each chair with you, and take the old components away.

Tell us the model and what it's doing. We'll tell you what it needs and what it costs.
Tell us what's wrong with your chairs — one seat or a whole floor — and we'll come back with a straightforward quote and a repair slot.
