What an Aeron repair involves
We diagnose at component level rather than treating the chair as one unit. A sinking Aeron gets a cylinder matched to the chair and to whoever sits in it, not a generic replacement that fails again in a year. A clunking tilt is stripped, worn pivot hardware renewed and the mechanism re-greased, or the unit swapped where the housing itself has gone. Arms are handled as pads, tops, height columns and yokes, so only the failed piece is replaced.
Mesh is the job people assume can't be done. Stretched mesh can often be re-tensioned; a split panel is replaced with the correct material and tension for the frame. Frame size matters on an Aeron (an A, B or C is not interchangeable) and getting it wrong changes how the chair carries weight even when it looks right.
Cylinders, castors and most arm work happen at your desk. Mesh replacement and full mechanism work come back to the workshop and return to you finished. Either way we confirm the route with your free quote first and take the old parts away.

Why an Aeron is nearly always worth repairing
A new Aeron costs well over £1,000. The aluminium frame, base and back structure are the expensive parts, and they very rarely fail, what fails are the wearing components that were always meant to be swapped. Replacing the whole chair over one of them is the most expensive way to solve a small problem.
It's also the clearest sustainability case we see. A serviced Aeron does the same job as a new one, and keeping it in use avoids sending a well-made frame to landfill over a component. If a chair genuinely isn't economic to repair, we'll say so upfront rather than take the job.
