A new Aeron costs somewhere between nine hundred and sixteen hundred pounds depending on spec. A refurbished one does the same job for much less, if it has been rebuilt properly. Ours are.
Every chair here started as a good second hand Aeron. What you buy is what it becomes after our workshop.
What refurbished means here
Not wiped down and photographed. Every chair we sell goes through the same checks we use on repair visits: gas lift, tilt mechanism, castors, arms and mesh all inspected, worn parts replaced, then the whole chair cleaned and tested before it is listed.

Then you probably do not need to buy one. Most faults are one worn part, and a repair costs far less than any chair on this page. If yours is sinking, that is usually just the gas lift. We would rather fix your chair than sell you one you do not need.

What is the difference between second hand and refurbished?
A second hand chair is sold as found, faults included. A refurbished one has been through a workshop first. Ours are the second kind: every second hand Aeron we take in is inspected, has its worn parts replaced and is tested before it is listed.

Do refurbished Aerons come with the Herman Miller warranty?
No. Herman Miller's cover applies to the original purchase through official channels. Ask us what cover applies to a specific chair before you buy. We are independent specialists, not affiliated with Herman Miller.
