Secretlab chair sinking? It's the gas lift
A gaming chair gas lift works the same way as an office chair's. When the seal inside the cylinder wears, the chair can no longer hold height and slowly drops while you sit. Pulling the lever won't fix it. Replacing the cylinder will.
Fitting a new gas lift means separating the old cylinder from the base and the seat mechanism, which takes the right tools and some force. That's the step most owners would rather hand over, and it's quick for us.
Your part or ours
If the manufacturer has already sent you a replacement piston or another part under warranty, we'll fit it at your home in London. If you don't have the part, we'll supply one matched to your chair and fit it in the same visit where possible.
Either way, while the chair is apart we check the base, mechanism and castors, so you know about anything else that's worn.
Tilts, castors, arms and padding
Wobbly or broken tilt mechanisms are repaired or replaced. Worn castors are swapped as a set. Loose or worn armrests are renewed as separate parts. Flattened padding can be renewed where the frame and cover are sound.
A gaming chair is often a good chair with one worn part. If it genuinely isn't worth repairing, we'll tell you in the free quote.

Why does my gaming chair keep sinking?
The gas lift's internal seal has worn, so the cylinder can't hold height. Pulling the lever won't fix it; the gas lift needs replacing.
