Office Chair Repair Cost: How Our Fixed Quotes Work
There's no price list on this site. Here's why that's a feature, not an evasion.
A gas lift for a Herman Miller Aeron and a gas lift for a mid-range task chair are different parts at different costs. A price list either averages that difference, overcharging one customer to undercharge another, or turns into a wall of small print. We do neither: tell us the chair and the fault, and you get one fixed number before any work starts. What moves the price: the chair's make and model, the part that's failed, how many chairs are being done in one visit (volume pricing from 10), and whether the job needs a workshop stage. What never moves it: anything discovered after you've agreed the quote. The fixed quote is fixed.

The comparison that matters
The comparison that matters isn't our price against another repairer's, it's repair against replacement. A new premium task chair runs £700–£1,400+. A repair replaces one worn part of it. That gap is the whole reason this business exists.

Why won't you just publish a price?
Because any number we publish would be wrong for most chairs, too high for simple jobs, too low for complex ones. A fixed quote for your actual chair is more honest than an 'average' that fits nobody.
Is the quote really fixed?
Yes, If we find something unexpected mid-job, we tell you before doing anything about it, the agreed price doesn't move without your agreement.
Do you charge for quoting?
No, quotes are free, from photos and the model name, usually without a visit.
