Office Chair Castors and Wheels

What to check before you order

How it attaches

Most office chair castors push into a socket in the chair base and pull out by hand, which is why they are quick to change. Stem diameter and length vary between manufacturers, so a castor from one chair will not always fit another. The Aeron set here is made for the Aeron base.

Your floor

Castors are generally made for one floor type: softer wheels for hard floors like wood, tile and laminate, harder wheels for carpet. Using the wrong type is what causes sticking on carpet or marking on wood. The set we sell is the hard-wheel type, made for carpet. If your floor is wood, tile or laminate you need the soft-wheel type, so email info@londonchairrepairs.co.uk before ordering and we'll sort it.

Fitting them

They pull off and push on by hand in about two minutes, with no tools. Fitting instructions come with every order.

Would rather not? We fit castors across London, usually in one visit.
